Some work begins with a brief. Some with a conversation. Some with a location, a mood, or a body of images that needs to find its shape.
This page holds the professional side of that work - commercial photography, creative direction, creative production, and live event production. It is a different register from the personal and artistic practice that lives in the Field Diary. Here the work is made in collaboration and in service of a project, a brand, a vision, or an event.
Across fashion, editorial, brand campaigns, and large-scale live events, I collaborate with designers, artists, musicians, cultural organisations, and creative founders to bring projects from early concept through to completion. The work spans the intimate and the large-scale; a carefully directed lookbook shoot, a brand campaign, a festival headline event.
The role varies depending on what a project needs. Sometimes I am behind the camera. Sometimes I am directing the room - shaping the visual language, the atmosphere, the sequence of images. Sometimes I am holding the larger architecture of a project, coordinating collaborators, logistics, and creative decisions so that something complex can unfold with clarity and intention.
What remains consistent across all of it is an attention to the quality of the work. To images that carry presence, to projects that are built with care, and to collaborations where the creative conversation is as considered as the outcome.

HOW I SUPPORT PROJECTS
-
Exploring the early stages of a project by shaping ideas, themes, and narrative direction. This may include developing visual concepts, identifying story frameworks, clarifying the creative intention behind the work, and helping articulate what a project is really about before production begins.
-
Developing the visual language of a project through imagery, mood, and atmosphere. This includes building references, directing the aesthetic coherence of the work across photography, publications, or digital platforms, and ensuring that every visual decision serves the larger intention of the project.
-
Supporting the practical realisation of a project through location research, crew and collaborator coordination, scheduling, logistics, and on-the-ground creative problem solving, so that the conditions are right for the work to happen well.
-
Helping shape the narrative arc of a project by bringing together images, context, and visual storytelling across different formats - whether a publication, a digital platform, an exhibition, or a body of work finding its sequence and form.
-
Creating photographic work for artists, cultural organisations, publications, and creative brands. Commissions are approached with the same attention to light, atmosphere, and presence that runs through all of my photographic work - images made with intention rather than formula.
For commissions, creative direction, production enquiries, or collaborative projects - you are welcome to write.
