Sarah Andrijcich

I recently had the very great pleasure of building a digital home for photographer and yoga teacher Sarah Andrijcich.

Sarah’s work carries the steadiness of her Croatian roots and the untamed freedom of days dipped in the Mediterranean Sea. Inspired by nature, she revels in the beautiful imperfections that are revealed in the creative process and the possibilities that arise when we release expectation and trust in the unknown.

When I’m writing for a website, I always start by sitting down with my client at a table, asking questions and listening to the answers. It’s my favourite part of the process and always surprising. Their words become the content, filled with the richness of a lifetime of experiences. I just tidy them up a bit.

Sarah’s work is available for purchase. Photographed on 35mm film, each image is graced by the surprise of graininess and imperfections that are the essence of the medium. To gaze on Still Life #1 is to inhale perfectly ripe pears on a summer day.
